We spent some brainstorming time on Friday working on a design for a high performance, long term food storage system. It will feature a rotating cylinder with multiple levels and storage chambers. Each level will have its own door so that only the small chamber will be exposed to the outside air. The insulation will include a phase change material that will maintain a constant temperature of zero degrees Fahrenheit. Once temperature is reached, the unit will need very little energy to maintain it.
